What is Included in your Cruise Holiday Fare?

Having recently returned from a Holiday of a lifetime with Royal Caribbean on their Independence of the Seas I have received so many questions and one that comes up time and time again is, What is Included in your Cruise Holiday Fare? There are of coarse many other questions but today I am addressing this one, because if you were to book you need to know what you are budgeting for.

What is not included in your cruise holiday fare?

  • Specialty dining , the main dining room, buffet, pizza shop, sandwich cafe are all included, however many ships have a number of dining options in addition to these that have a cover charge, some are $7.95 per person, others are $20 per person. I can not say if these offer value or if they are a better standard to all the free eating options as we never used them.
  • Drinks , other than those listed above will cost you more. You can opt to as you go, or you can buy a drinks package in advance, the cheapest starting at $8 per person per day, going up to $65 per person per day (this deluxe drinks package is currently free See Details HERE )
  • Shore Excursions , port taxes and charges are included, but organised excursions will cost you more.
