Clare’s Top 3 Cleansing Balm’s

Cleansing Balm’s will bring your daily cleansing routine to the next level. They are perfect if you wear a lot of make up, work in an environment that creates a lot of dirt on your skins surface or if you need to absorb excess oil on the surface of the skin and remove impurities but you want to do this without stripping or drying your complexion. Clare’s Top 3 Cleansing Balm’s are three amazing balm’s from three leading skin care companies. I find many people invest in an eye cream, or a night balm but try to scrimp on the cleansing section of their routine, but this really is a massive mistake. Everything you apply after cleansing will work better if the skin is prepared appropriately first.

Clare’s Top 3 Cleansing Balm’s come from Elemis, Emma Hardie and Su-Man , all of these are award winning and all of these can be used as a mask as well as your day and night time cleanser.

Starting with Elemis : This was my introduction to Cleansing Balm’s and from the very 1st time I used it I was blown away by the power of this product, I remember heading to the sink, applying a small amount and using the cloth to remove it and in one swipe, all my make up vanished from my face and was on the cloth. I wear a lot of eye make up and usually I would double cleanse with a cream, lotion style cleansers and sometimes have to go over the eyes a third time, with Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm , once was more than enough.

For daily cleansing:

  • Smooth over face, neck and décolleté, gently massaging into skin
  • Moisten fingertips, continue to massage, before removing with warm cleansing cloth
  • Can be used morning and evening

As a mask:

  • Smooth generously over face and neck with dry fingers
  • Massage to warm the skin and loosen the balm
  • Leave for 10 minutes, and hold a very warm cleansing cloth over the skin
  • Practice abdominal breathing while you relax and inhale the exquisite aroma, then gently wipe away

Moving onto Emma Hardie : For a long time I saw many beauty editors raving about Emma Hardies “multi purpose” Moringa Cleansing Balm and I thought, wow this looks super yet it took my until this year to get my hands on some and put it to the test. The 1st thing I noticed about this balm was the gorgeous smell, it is citrus, sweet but not sickly and just smells beautiful. In addition and just like the Elemis balm, this is a super cleanser and in addition you can use is as a mask as above. Remember with all of these balms a little really does go such a long way.

Emma Hardie’s Moringa Cleansing Balm is a balanced daily cleanser that thoroughly cleanses and moisturises and can calm sensitive skin and revitalize dull and mature skins. Doubles as a soothing and hydrating mask if left on the skin for ten minutes.

Mix a few drops of warm water with a little Moringa Cleansing Balm in the palm of your hand to create a milk. Apply to the face, neck and eye area using circular motions and massage thoroughly to melt away make-up, excess oils and grime.

To remove, soak your professional cleansing cloth in warm water, squeeze out the excess and gently wipe over the whole face and neck, taking extra care around the delicate eye area. Use the gently abrasive muslin side of the cloth to exfoliate dry, lined, thickened and congested areas and the smoother microfibre side for more delicate and sensitive areas. Skin is left feeling clean, smooth and supple; never tight. Use morning and night.

Last by no means least let me tell you about Su-Man PURIFYING CLEANSING GEL-OIL , as you can see this does not call itself a balm but it very close in texture and you will be blown away by the power of this perfect cleanser. Like mentioned above I am a big fan of my eye make up and no matter how many layers of mascara I have applied and even my waterproof mascara is no match for this Cleanser, in one swipe it vanishes. I love the smell of this, I love the texture, I love its cleansing ability and I love how my skin feels afterwards.

I took this little snip of information from Su-Man because it relays all I love about this beautiful cleanser:

•  Deep cleanses, without drying
•  Gently removes make-up
•  Promotes softness and suppleness
•  Prepares skin for energising and replenishing
•  Reinforces the skin’s natural barrier
•  For all skin types

User trials: 100 participants – Princeton Consumer Research (June 2015)
• 100% agree cleanses without stripping the skin’s natural oils
• 93% agree produced a noticeable reduction in wrinkles
• 100% agree made the skin healthier looking
• 92% agree left skin looking more youthful

Above are Clare’s Top 3 Cleansing Balm’s , all three of these are multi use products, all clean perfectly without drying your skin, all smell incredible and all of them are worth a try.

If you are lost as to what to buy someone this Christmas, then give them the gift of great skin. Start with super charged cleansers and you will never look back. People always remark on the softness, the texture and clarity of my skin and this is down to always using great skin care. Don’t invest in great make up if you are going to sit it on rocky foundations, it will never look as good as it could if you do.
